Help Build A Basketball Court for Refugees

Hello! We are a group of students at the International School of Lausanne and we are asking for your help in raising money for our local refugee center.
The EVAM refugee center in Switzerland helps over 5500 asylum seekers throughout the country and has around 2000 apartments. We enjoy visiting our local refugee center, talking with the kids there, and taking part in one of their favorite pastimes - basketball.
The pandemic hit refugees especially hard and many continue to struggle with the economic and social impacts of Covid. Furthermore, the refugee crisis in Ukraine has highlighted the importance of EVAM as they continue to welcome Ukrainian refugees throughout Switzerland.
We have searched for a way to contribute and help those living in isolated situations, which has led us to this project.
Basketball is a passion for many of the children and even adults living in these refugee centers, but sadly our local center only has one run-down hoop:
Our goal is to collect 10,000 CHF to go toward building a basketball court at the EVAM center. We also hope to go to EVAM more often and play mixed games with the refugees who are housed in the center. We have raised over 6,000 CHF so far!
