Help Bugs Get the Surgery She Needs

This is not how any rescue wants to start the New Year, but sadly, here we are, and we need your help.

Bugs, a sweet and resilient pup we pulled from Katy Animal Control several months ago, has faced her fair share of challenges. When we first rescued her, she was alongside her sister Buffy, who was suffering from rickets. Buffy badly needed medical care, but we knew we couldn’t leave Bugs behind, so we took both of them in.

With time, Buffy recovered from her rickets and was adopted into a loving home.

Sadly, Bugs is still waiting for her forever family.

Bugs is a sweet dog who often gets overlooked and now Bugs has suffered an unfortunate accident. Last week, she broke her leg. Thanks to her amazing foster family, Bugs was rushed to the vet, where X-rays confirmed the injury is severe. She needs surgery to repair the break, and the cost for this surgery is more than we can manage alone—over $5,000.

As many of you know, we are a small rescue, and big medical cases like this place a significant financial strain on us. But we will not give up on Bugs. She is a fighter, and we will do everything we can to give her the chance at a happy, healthy life she deserves.
