I met Bubacarr Touray through instagram when he DM’ed me from Gambia seeking fellowship with other Christian believers. We began communicating through text and video calls and I quickly learned that he is struggling to provide for his family as a result of the recent passing of his father. He is the oldest brother (20 years old) and the only person providing financially for his family of 6 other siblings and his mother, whose health has been in decline. He is currently struggling to find a stable source of income and often works all day collecting firewood to sell; however, it has proved to be a difficult market for him. Yet through all of this struggle, Bubacarr often sends me Prayers for my first-world struggles and is so on fire for God as he continues to trust that the Lord will provide for him and his family. I have been helping him in small sums financially for the past month, and recently he came to me asking for help to purchase a motorbike so he can start a pick up and delivery business, which would cost about $800 US Dollars. He is also behind on this month’s rent ($60) for his family, and nearly out of food. I believe God brought Bubacarr and I together for a reason, and I want to do whatever I can to help him an his family escape the extreme poverty they are currently facing. 100% of donations will go straight to Bubacarr, and I hope fellow brothers and sisters in Christ seeing this post will feel convicted to help him out either by donating to this GoFundMe or simply sharing this post to someone in the position to.
