My son Bryce Holmes is using this gofundme to raise the funds needed to install a permanent Gaga Ball pit at Lambert Lavoie Elementary school in Chicopee, MA. Please see his message below:

My name is Bryce Holmes and I am a Life Scout in Troop 303B South Hadley, Massachusetts. I have started this gofundme to raise funds for my Eagle Project.

In order to earn my Eagle Rank I must lead a service project of my choosing that benefits my community. My Eagle Project is to purchase, build, and install a Gaga ball pit for Lambert Lavoie Elementary School.

My vision is to give the students at Lambert Lavoie a place to play Gaga ball during lunch and gym class. I went to Lambert Lavoie as a child and now I want to help them and improve their education through gym class.

The pit that I will be building is going to be a 30 inch high, 20 foot octagon. It will be made of structural composite materials that will not splinter. The pit that will be installed will also come with a thick rubber mat which prevents flooding when it rains. The students can still play Gaga ball and not get muddy feet. Lastly the pit will have edge brackets with alternating school colors, blue and yellow.

Gaga Ball is a game loved by many youth at schools and summer camps. It is a quick paced, dodging game, played by a small group of people. Most students at Lambert Lavoie have had the chance to play this exciting game during their gym class!
