Help Bryce Greenwell Restore Alan Wright Park

Hi everyone! My name is Bryce Greenwell, and I am a 17-year-old working towards earning the rank of Eagle Scout. For my Eagle Scout project, I have chosen to make a difference in our community by restoring Alan Wright Park, a beloved local park that has seen better days.

This project is close to my heart because I have grown up visiting it, riding my bike there and seeing all of the people enjoying it. My goal is to improve the park’s pathways, making them safer and more accessible for everyone, including families, seniors, and individuals with mobility challenges.

To accomplish this, I plan to:

Repair and re-shell the existing pathways. (adding anti-erosion webbing to stop the shell from washing away)

Add new trails to connect key areas of the park.

Clear overgrown areas to improve visibility and usability.

Remove the broken old ramp and bring the shell path to the level of the bridge

Mucking out the spring to allow a nicer flow from the natural spring

This project will not only beautify the park but also make it easier for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy. It will allow for people to enjoy the natural beauty of the river

I am seeking to raise $650 to cover the cost of materials, tools, and supplies for this project. Any funds raised will go directly toward the purchase of:

•Gravel and other pathway materials.

•Tools and equipment rentals.

•Landscaping supplies for clearing and maintenance.

•Edging for around the paths

•Anti-erosion matting
