Hi My name is Dan, my brother David was driving for Lyft a few weeks ago in the rain in So Cal with a Client, when the car hydroplaned, spun and was hit by another vehicle. The initial estimate for repair was $16,000, but a friend has offered to repair it for 7,000 dollars. Dave has no money and even though Lyft will cover him while working, it only provides collision insurance if the driver has collision insurance. Dave only has liability auto insurance and therefore Lyft has refused to pay for any repairs.
