I’ve put together this GoFundMe as someone who loves Brooke and Diego and has witnessed firsthand their compassion, faith, and unwavering devotion as foster parents to 3 under 3. Right now, they’re walking through one of the most difficult and heartbreaking battles of their lives, fighting to protect their 3-year-old foster daughter from being sent into unsafe conditions.
This precious little girl has been with them for nearly a year. She’s safe, thriving, and deeply loved in their care. Sadly, due to a complex and painful legal situation, the court is moving toward sending her back into an environment that is unsafe - one marked by severe neglect and instability. Her biological parents were deported before the case could be fully heard, and as a result, the judge has removed many of the standard requirements that parents would normally need to meet to regain custody. Despite overwhelming concern from her care team, including therapists, case workers, and legal advocates, the court continues to lean in this direction.
Brooke and Diego have done everything they can. They’ve prayed, fasted, and sought counsel. They’ve gone as far as hiring legal counsel outside of what is offered within the system to give their foster daughter the best chance at a safe and thriving life.
They’re facing mounting legal bills as they continue to fight for what is right and safe for this child. Every dollar given will go directly toward legal fees and related costs to protect her and ensure she has a voice in this process.
If you’ve ever met Brooke and Diego, you know their faith is unshakable and their love for their foster children is nothing short of Christlike. They’re not fighting out of emotion or attachment alone, they are contending for her life, safety, and future. These are people who have given everything to love those who are broken, lost, or in need - and this goes beyond foster care.
Please consider giving, sharing this page, and most importantly, praying for everyone involved, especially their foster daughter. What a blessing it is to give to those who have given so much of themselves.
Thank you all.
