I never imagined I'd be writing something like this for my family friend.

Just days after losing her stepdad, Brittni's life was turned upside down again. While her family is still grieving and trying to prepare for his funeral, her apartment complex caught fire. The window you see blown out in the pictures is her apartment. The damage was so severe that the building has been condemned, and she's lost her home with almost no time to prepare.

Right now, her family is already struggling to cover the costs of her stepdad's funeral, and this unexpected disaster has left all of us completely overwhelmed. We're trying to navigate two heartbreaking situations at the same time; saying goodbye to someone we all loved while also trying to help her figure out where to live and how to replace the essentials that were left behind.

- Replacing clothing and everyday necessities

- Food and other immediate living expenses

- Helping ease the financial burden while we recover from these unimaginable losses
