Victor has always worked tirelessly to provide a safe, loving, and stable home for his children, ages 16, 14, 5, and 4. In February of last year, his family suffered a devastating loss when his wife and the children’s mother passed away. Since then, Victor stepped into the role of primary parent and sole provider, doing everything possible to keep his family together and help his children heal, while continuing to work to support them.

This past Saturday, January 17, Victor was unexpectedly detained by ICE while on his way to work. This detainment has left these four children without their father—after death had already taken their mother. The fear, confusion, and uncertainty they are experiencing are unimaginable.

Victor is a hardworking man with no criminal record, who has been actively and legally working on his immigration case for over 10 years. He has always done everything possible to provide for his family and contribute positively to his community. His children are still grieving the loss of their mother and are now facing the pain of being separated from their father, who has been their source of strength, stability, and comfort.

Our family has come together to care for the children during this time, but the emotional and financial burden is overwhelming. Victor’s detention means his children are without the daily guidance and support he provided.
