Hi! My name is Shoshana and I am fundraising for our family of five. My Husband Jonah and I have 3 wonderful children ages 11, 9 and 7. My husband was suddenly disabled 3 years ago, and since has largely been confined to a wheelchair.

He requires full time care. We qualified for a local Habitat for Humanity handicap accessible home. This home would allow my husband freedom to do things like come to the table, go to the bathroom and get to the kitchen on his own. We were beyond thankful for the opportunity! The kids, our family and I began building!

We soon finished our required volunteer hours. The only thing we needed to do to fit our family of 5 into the home was to add 2 bedrooms to the basement. As per Habitat for Humanity's generous program, we are responsible for adding the extra bedrooms. I was working two jobs, and we looked forward to affording those bedrooms for our kids. Then I was diagnosed with stage 3C Invasive Inflammatory Breast Cancer. I began treatment right away. I was no longer able to work my second job. The hope of getting into our accessible home began to slip away.

Do you think you could pitch in to help us build those bedrooms so we can fit in our home? We have volunteers to manage the labor, we simply need some help to buy materials.
