Help Bring Tom Proffitt Home

$79,660 raised of
330 donations
We are raising funds for Tom Proffitt who suffered a life-threatening head injury on September 26th while on his 50th wedding anniversary vacation in Iceland. Since the injury, Tom has been hospitalized at Landspítali (The National University Hospital of Iceland) and has not fully regained consciousness.
Tom grew up and lived in Wisconsin his whole life. He is an Air Force veteran, a husband, father of three daughters, and grandfather of eight. He spends his time volunteering at Sherman Park Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, watching every Wisconsin sporting event, and entertaining his dog and grand dog. He has a huge heart for giving and a witty sense of humor, making him loved by so many.
Medicare does not cover the medical expenses he is facing abroad, and Iceland's universal healthcare only covers Icelandic citizens. The funds raised will help cover hospital bills from September 26th through his repatriation, which is still in process, as well as the cost of international medical transport to help bring him home.
Please consider supporting Tom Proffitt and his family during this devastating time. Any donation, no matter the size, or even sharing this fundraiser, will help ease the burden and bring Tom closer to getting home.
