The Bhakti Recovery Group (BRG) Committee of Alachua is excited to be presenting a seminar on addiction and recovery for the Alachua community on September 23rd & 24th, 2023.

We need your help to do this!

About the Seminar:

The seminar will take place on September 23rd and 24th at the Krishna.com offices in Alachua, FL. All are welcome to attend! Jiva G, flying in from Germany, will be the main speaker, Namamrita dasa the host and Yogesvara dasa a guest speaker. Jiva G uses the Big Book (titled "Alcoholics Anonymous" but used for many different recovery groups) and infuses it with bhakti. This process gives the Big Book detail and substance, leading to a better understanding of karma, bhakti, and how we can better change and channel our addictive natures. Our goal:

We have high hopes that this seminar will clear the stigma of addiction and blossom into ongoing weekly meetings, which in turn will help devotees (and non-devotees) who are suffering from this malady.

We are humbly asking everyone who realizes how important of a project this is to pitch in, whether it be a small or large donation. Most of us know someone who struggles with addiction, whether it's a friend or a family member or ourselves. As a community, please help us to offer them comfort and a solution steeped in bhakti.
