My name is Claudia, and I am reaching out for help as my husband, Santiago Gomez, was recently detained by ICE after living and working in the US for over 15 years. Santiago is a dedicated concrete worker and the main provider for our family. His sudden detention has left our home in crisis, especially for our two young sons, Santy (10) and Diego (5). Santy, who is autistic, has been deeply affected—he cries, struggles to sleep, and is experiencing emotional distress that has forced us to consider restarting therapy. Diego, our youngest, now sleeps with me every night, misses his father terribly, and has lost interest in eating and playing. Both boys ask for their dad constantly and are struggling to understand why he was taken from us.



Santiago has no criminal record and has always worked hard to support us. He pays taxes and has never received any government benefits. In detention, he is not receiving the medication he needs for his heart, and the conditions are harsh—he is cold, sick, and without basic necessities. We are alone in this country, and without Santiago, we have no support.
