My name is Kylie, and I’m creating this fundraiser to help Samuel Howell come home by raising the bond money he needs in Pott County. Samuel has worked so hard to rebuild his life, and I truly believe he is living proof that people can change.

Since June 5, 2023, Samuel has been completely sober. He made a promise to himself—and to the people who still believed in him—that he would never go back to the life that almost destroyed him. And he’s kept that promise with everything in him. He now works at two detox centers, pouring his heart into helping people who remind him of the person he used to be. He shows up for them with compassion, patience, and honesty, because he knows what it means to be lost and what it feels like to be given a chance. He uses his story to lift up others who are fighting their way out of addiction. He’s become someone who inspires others.

To see him sitting in a cell after all the progress he’s made… it hurts in a way that’s hard to explain. He isn’t running from his past—he’s trying desperately to fix it. This bond isn’t just money. It’s a chance for him to keep going, to stay on the right path, to return to work, to be there for the people he helps every day, and to continue proving that his story doesn’t have to end where it once seemed headed.
