On June 17, 2025, my dad, a gardener in Pico Rivera, was taken by ICE while he was just doing his job and just trying to support our family. Now he is locked up in a cold, overcrowded facility with no food or water. He has not eaten since 5 AM, and the conditions are terrible. People are packed in with no space, no privacy, and no way to stay clean. Many are getting sick and suffering. It is not just my dad. Every day, more innocent people are being taken. Families are torn apart, and people who are just trying to survive are treated like criminals. My dad is not just another detainee. He is a father, a husband, and a human being. He should be with us, not stuck in a broken system that does not care. This is happening to so many people, and the system is designed to break them. We cannot stay silent, especially when some feel it does not affect them until it actually does. We need to speak up and take action. Please share my dad’s story. Do not let his suffering or anyone else’s be forgotten. They deserve to be free, and we need to fight for them to come home.
