Supporting the 2nd Wave of the Shaken Chefs Relief Operation

When a powerful earthquake struck General Santos City and Sarangani Province, local chefs, volunteers, and community members didn't wait for help to arrive. They immediately came together to cook, pack, and distribute meals to families whose lives had been turned upside down.

Led by Chef Aries Lapuz and the Shaken Chefs Relief Team, the first wave of relief operations reached hundreds of people with freshly prepared meals, bringing comfort and hope during a time of uncertainty.

Now, the team is preparing for the next wave.

A Community That Still Needs Help

During their initial relief efforts, the volunteers identified a coastal community that was among the hardest hit by the earthquake. One entire purok near the shoreline reportedly sank by approximately seven feet, leaving many families displaced and without a stable source of income.

Recovery remains an ongoing challenge. Weeks after the earthquake, tremors are still being felt across the affected provinces, making it difficult for many families to return to a sense of normalcy while they rebuild their homes and livelihoods.

To help these communities begin rebuilding, the Shaken Chefs Relief Team is organising its Second Wave Relief Operation on July 5,2026 (Sunday).

Their goal is to reach approximately 300 families, or an estimated 900 beneficiaries, with essential relief goods that can support them beyond immediate hunger.

Our Initial Goal: AUD 3,000 (Approx. PHP 125,000)

Xenai Digital had the privilege of supporting the first wave of this community-led initiative. As we witnessed the impact of Chef Aries and his volunteers' work, we wanted to do more.

Together with Digital Alchemy, we're opening this fundraiser to our employees, customers, partners, and friends with an initial fundraising goal of AUD 3,000 (approximately PHP 125,000). To amplify the impact of every contribution, Xenai Digital and Digital Alchemy will collectively match donations dollar-for-dollar, up to a combined company contribution of AUD 5,000. Together, this campaign has the potential to raise up to AUD 10,000 for the relief effort.

Every peso raised will help provide essential supplies for families who continue to recover from the disaster.
