Hello, Praise the Lord. My name is Sister Elaina Byrd, Youth President of the Central District of a church organization that I am honored to be a part of, The Church of God in Christ Jesus...Apostolic Inc. My church organization is excited to be celebrating its 80th YOUTH Congress this upcoming August. This meeting is dedicated to keeping our youth engaged and prayerfully fueling a desire to be a vital part of the body of Christ and remain for the years to come.

I have heard stories firsthand from frustrated parents or caretakers of children and young adults who just cannot afford to bring them to the meeting. In short, it is a financial hardship. Some parents come but do not bring the very ones that this event is mainly for...something about that shouldn't sit right with any of us. So I came up with an idea to try and make the burden lighter. I myself will donate $100 of my own money and ask that youth presidents from different churches in and outside of the organization match or surpass my efforts if at all possible. Nevertheless, whatever amount will be greatly appreciated.

This is just to start the momentum off right. Anyone can match or surpass my $100. Even if you're reading this and can't donate financially, please do share, but remember no amount is too small. Just to give out the gist of how monies will be distributed, depending upon how successful this is, I'd ask that names be submitted. It's not written in stone as to how it will be decided who will receive financial help, but all of that will be ironed out. The meeting typically is held in August, so 7 months from now. I believe that this could be a great cause and a successful one when we all come together, give, share, and pray. Children are our future; if we don't nurture them, something else will take root and grow. Thank you for your time and cooperation in advance...God is good!
