My mom has always been the heart of our family, caring for her children, grandchild, and everyone around her. In 2011, she was diagnosed with cancer in her knee and needed urgent treatment at MD Anderson Cancer Center. At that time, after being taken into custody, she was released for medical reasons so she could receive the care she needed. Since then, she has always complied with her yearly check-ins at the DHS office in Harlingen, TX.

On December 11, 2025, my mom went to her appointment as she has done every year, but this time she did not make it back home to us. Our hearts are completely shattered, especially with the holidays and her birthday coming up. We are desperate to bring her home to her children, grandchild, and the rest of our family and friends.
