Our family is reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for help bringing Dee home. Dee is a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His son was born in 1998, is now grown with children of his own, and they share a close, beautiful relationship. Yet Dee is still being jailed over a child support case that began decades ago. Over the years, this long-standing obligation has deeply affected his life. His driver's license has been suspended, he's been taken from his home, and at one point when he was a single father raising children on his own, those children were placed into foster care because of this debt.

Today, his health prevents him from working steadily, but instead of compassion, he continues to face incarceration. The child's mother has shown grace and understanding in court in the past, but this time, the court system has not extended that same grace. Despite her willingness to be compassionate, the legal system's unyielding grace resulted in his incarceration once again, and right now, he is locked up.

We are actively working through the legal system to secure his release and adjust his situation, but this process takes time and resources. While we navigate the courts, we urgently need help with the immediate costs associated with his case and with supporting him once he is home.

If this fundraiser goes beyond the immediate legal and release needs, any additional proceeds will go toward his living expenses, supporting him through serious health challenges and helping him get a true fresh start. Dee does not know we are doing this for him – we hope to surprise him with real help and a genuine chance at a new beginning.
