Adoption has always been a wish of mine. For 3,148 Days we have been waiting. I dreamt of adoption since the age of four. My heart is in Haiti and I have been matched with a little boy. He has been patiently waiting for us, a mother and a family. With your support I would like to bring him to his forever home. Many people have asked how they can help me bring my son to be home or what they can do on my adoption journey. I greatly appreciate all of the support. The caring sentiments are overwhelming. The last 8 1/3 years have been challenging to say the least. It took me several years working 3 different nursing jobs and with the generosity of the gifts and a generous grant I saved up the funds. The first adoption was cancelled despite all our attempts the orphanage director and adoption agency let us down. I won't let bad people cause us to give up on my dream. Now I'm forced to redo some of the paperwork. My family, friends, myself and his furry four legged brother are waiting for our miracle as well. Renick is now in heaven watching over us. Anchor is adopted and we fell for him during the shutdown. He is beyond ecstatic to be in his forever home and LOVES children. ❤️
Adoption fees are incredibly expensive and costing me nearly $75,000. YES, sadly you read that correctly. This total amount covers expenses like office administration in the USA and in Haiti, local and placement adoption agency fees, home study fees, registration of the dossier, translation of documents, the child’s medical fees, orphanage fees, legal fees, foreign fees, accompaniment fees, travel, accommodation and immigration fees.
A HUGE thank you for your generosity everyone! Because of you we are at 35 % of our target!!!
Words can't describe what your selfless gifts mean for my son to be, my furry boy and myself.
Please consider donating to my fundraising adoption shower and become a part of our story. Here is how it works. I had a 1,000 piece puzzle created. Each piece symbolizes someone who will help bring him home. We ask for a minimum donation of $20 for your piece. Your name or a name you choose will be written on the back of the piece you represent or you can remain anonymous. Periodic updates will be placed online. Once every piece has been spoken for, I will put the puzzle together and hang it in a double-sided glass frame. This will be hung in his room so that we can always look back and be reminded of who had a “piece” in bringing him home. When the adoption is official and he shares my last name I will be hosting a party at our house to celebrate and you are more than welcome. This puzzle for the fundraiser took over a year to make. To say it was hard is a huge understatement. If you would like to help our cause, please see my poster or GoFundMe link. Feel free to share any way you would like. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ❤
