I never imagined that asking for parenting time with my son would lead to this. What began several years ago as a custody enforcement case in Maricopa County Superior Court has now become a crisis involving a missing child and active search efforts by authorities.
Over time, the Court issued multiple parenting time orders and enforcement rulings. When those orders were not followed, my ex-wife was found in contempt. On February 3, 2026, the Court entered an Order of Confinement requiring her to remain in jail until she produced our son at a scheduled courthouse exchange. Even after more than two weeks in custody, she refused to disclose where he was.
While she was incarcerated, she filed a Change of Judge as a Matter of Right, which under Arizona procedure requires the case to be reassigned. Because judicial reassignment can take time, she was released due to the potential length of that transition. Since her release, she has not provided any information about our son’s location and has not been located herself.
A Verified Emergency Motion seeking a warrant to take physical custody has been filed in an effort to give law enforcement the authority necessary to recover our son. A Best Interests Attorney was appointed for him, and law enforcement, the Department of Child Safety, and a court-appointed private investigator are actively searching. Due to the continued lack of action and response since her release, we are filing another Petition to Enforce with the Court to address ongoing noncompliance and to seek further enforcement remedies. I remain committed to resolving this entirely through lawful court processes.
Over the past several years, I have spent a significant amount out of pocket on attorneys, therapy services, court filings, and compliance costs. I am working but underemployed, and this prolonged legal process — including repeated enforcement actions — has created overwhelming financial strain.
Funds raised will help cover ongoing attorney fees, investigative costs, and trauma-informed therapy support for my son once he is found. I am doing everything I can within the legal system to bring him home safely and lawfully.
