Hello my name is Edward Hernandez I'm in dire need of help. The purpose of this GoFundMe is to help with the lawyers and legal services needed for my father who has been detained by ICE. January 17th, 2026 around 11:48am my father was pulled over and arrested by ICE without an explanation or reason and was taken to an ice facility shortly after.

My father who had gone to home depot to buy some materials and equipment for his job he was working on had just left the bank. He withdrew money to go pay his workers for that week. My family wouldn't have never known this if it weren't for him calling and letting us know that ice was detaining him and forcing him to hang up the phone. My father had told my step mother that he had $3,000 on an envelope on his person and that money has disappeared after he was detained. My step mother immediately called me, crying and scared she told what had happened and wanted me to go find as she didn't want to risk getting detained by ice as well. I left work early and went to find him when I got to where his last location was all i found was his work truck on the middle of the bridge abandoned. While we were able to tow his car back home I frantically tried just showing up to the ICE detention center and while looking for it I received a call from an unknown number and it was from my father telling me to keep my head up everything will be fine. I haven't heard from him in two days now, and my family has had no update on his status and are very worried for his well-being.

My father has lived here in the United States for over 25 years, and with no criminal record, has never committed any felony or crime. He has never done anything to harm anyone, anything, or a business. I may no longer live with my father anymore but I do know he still has to provide for my 3 sisters, who youngest is at age 6, and my stepmother. If anyone could find it in their heart to donate and help my father out and me out by helping with the legal services required to pay a lawyer to help with his case to bring him home.

Salí temprano del trabajo y fui a buscarlo. Cuando llegué al último lugar donde había estado, lo único que encontré fue su camioneta de trabajo abandonada en medio del puente. Aunque pudimos remolcar su coche de vuelta a casa, intenté desesperadamente presentarme en el centro de detención del ICE y, mientras lo buscaba, recibí una llamada de un número desconocido. Era mi padre, que me decía que mantuviera la cabeza alta, que todo iría bien. Hace dos días que no sé nada de él, y mi familia no tiene noticias sobre su situación y está muy preocupada por su bienestar.

Mi padre lleva más de 25 años viviendo aquí, en Estados Unidos, y no tiene antecedentes penales, nunca ha cometido ningún delito grave ni ningún otro tipo de delito. Nunca ha hecho nada para perjudicar a nadie, a nada ni a ningún negocio. Puede que ya no viva con mi padre, pero sé que todavía tiene que mantener a mis tres hermanas, la menor de las cuales tiene seis años, y a mi madrastra. Si alguien pudiera tener la bondad de hacer una donación y ayudarnos a mi padre y a mí, pagando los servicios legales necesarios para contratar a un abogado que le ayude con su caso y lo traiga de vuelta a casa.
