My father has been in the United States of America for almost 40 years. Not one day of those 40 years, he has ever stopped trying or given himself a break. He constantly worked, days and nights and even weeks at a time to help me, my siblings, and mom live comfortably. We struggled, yes, but my father did everything in his power to ensure we had everything we needed.

ICE took him from our hands in December, he was detained at random, and we are fighting to keep him in our country. He legally entered the country and is currently in the process of trying to becoming a US citizen.

Without my father supporting us, we are struggling financially, which means we do not have the funds to help fight to keep him here. We are raising funds to help us pay for legal fees to give him a fighting chance to continue his pursuit in becoming a US citizen.

I am in college, my younger sister is in high school, and my other two siblings have families of their own. My mother works two jobs to help us but we are barely scraping by. We are so broken without our dad, my mother is missing her husband, and we are burdened with the possibility that we might never get the opportunity for him to come back here. He completed our family's circle. He was the glue that held us together.

He is the sweetest, biggest-hearted person I've known in my entire lifetime. My father has gone out of his way to help the others around them, whether by giving them physical shelter or helping out with food or necessities. It is heartbreaking to see such a generous and kind man in a position like this. Please help us fight to keep him here with us. I cannot imagine living my life without him here with us.
