Help Bring Manuel Home to His Family

Manuel is not just our stepfather—he’s been the heart of our family, stepping up to care for four kids who aren’t his by blood, as well as his own young son, our little brother. Every day, Manuel worked hard to provide for us, never asking for anything in return. He became a true father figure, supporting our mother through every challenge and treating us as his own children. This morning, on his way to work, Manuel was stopped and detained by ICE agents. He has no criminal record—just a history of working hard and loving his family. Now, he’s being held at Winn Correctional Center, and we’re doing everything we can to bring him home.

This sudden loss has devastated our family. Not being able to say goodbye or reassure him that we’re fighting for him has been incredibly painful. His youngest son is confused and lost, not understanding why his father isn’t there. As the head of our household, Manuel’s absence has left us scrambling to cover our monthly bills, on top of the unexpected legal and bond fees. We’ve reached out to a lawyer in Louisiana and are waiting to learn the next steps for Manuel’s case. Every day he spends away from us is another day of worry and uncertainty. We just want him to have what he needs while he’s detained and, most importantly, to bring him back home where he belongs. Your support will help us cover the legal and bonding fees needed to fight for Manuel’s release and reunite our family.

UPDATE: 07/10/2025_ We have a hired an attorney that will be working on Manuel’s case. The lawyer did give us hope today, a hope that we will hold onto. There is a possibility for him to come back home to us, his family. Manuel has been scheduled for a court hearing for the 14th but the lawyer will be rescheduling that. She (lawyer) will now be in contact with Manuel at the correctional center and the family. Any new information I will keep our supporters informed. Thank you all! God bless y’all and your family!

Hoy nuestra familia está viviendo una pesadilla. El 07/01/25 nuestro padrastro, nuestro ejemplo, nuestro pilar fue detenido por ICE mientras iba camino a su trabajo.

Manuel no tiene antecedentes penales. Lo único que ha hecho es trabajar duro todos los días para sacar adelante a su hijo pequeño y a nosotros, los hijos que la vida le dio. Nunca hizo diferencias, siempre nos dio su amor y apoyo incondicional como si fuéramos de su propia sangre.

Su detención ha destrozado a nuestra familia. Su hijo está confundido, preguntando por él. Mi mamá está desesperada, y nosotros sentimos que nos arrancaron una parte del alma. Aparte del dolor, estamos enfrentando gastos legales y de fianza que simplemente no podemos cubrir solos.
