My name is Danny Reynolds, and I’m a grandfather trying to help my daughter Ashley through one of the most painful and unjust situations a parent can face.

Six years ago, Ashley brought a miracle baby into the world through IVF. At the very same time, she became the full-time caregiver for my wife—her mother—who had just been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. For three years, Ashley balanced a full-time job, raised her daughter, cared for her terminally ill mom, and tried to maintain a marriage.

She couldn’t have known that in the middle of divorce proceedings, she would also lose her mother. Somehow, through all the grief, she managed to rebuild her life with her daughter and focus on her career.

Then came another challenge. Her little girl needed surgery. Ashley did what any loving mother would do: she added her daughter to her own costly work insurance plan and relied on court to enforce accountability.

But instead of support from the legal system, she was blindsided.

The father turned around and filed for custody, painting Ashley as an unfit mother. Over the next three years, Ashley spent over $29,000 on lawyers, court hearings, and guardian fees—fighting to protect the daughter she has always cared for. Despite it all, the case is still unresolved.

Now, drained financially and emotionally, Ashley has been stripped of her rights—and Madison has been taken from her.

Ashley is devastated. Madison wants to come home. And I’m not going to let my daughter give up without a fight.
