About Luan

Luan Simm is Louizy’s husband and the loving father of their 1-year-old child. He was recently detained by ICE and is now being held in a facility, leaving Louizy and their little one to face an incredibly painful and uncertain time without him at home. This sudden separation has shaken their family deeply. Like so many immigrant families, they have been working hard to build a stable life, support one another, and keep moving forward. Instead, they are now facing heartbreak, fear, and the daily stress of trying to stay strong while Luan remains away from the people who need him most.

Luan has always been a devoted husband, a caring father, and a hardworking person who has done everything possible for his family. He is also someone who has shown up for friends and for the community, always ready to help when others needed him. The funds raised will help Louizy and the family cover urgent day-to-day needs and stay afloat as they work to bring Luan back home.
