Help bring little Sophia Home for Life-Saving Treatment

Dear friends, colleagues and kind-hearted supporters,

My name is Silvie, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and a lot of hope.

A dear colleague of mine is going through something no parent should ever have to face: While on a holiday in Egypt, his 3-year-old daughter suddenly fell seriously ill. After medical examinations, the devastating diagnosis was leukemia.

Although she is just 3 years old, she's showing incredible strength and courage, but she is currently too sick to fly home. Doctors in Egypt have had to start emergency treatment immediately to stabilize her condition, with each chemo treatment costing around €1000. As soon as she is stable enough to travel, she urgently needs to be brought back to the Netherlands to continue her treatment — close to home, family, and the specialized care she desperately needs.

Unfortunately, the insurance does not cover the medical costs in Egypt nor the costs of a medically supervised flight home. This leaves the family in an incredibly difficult and heartbreaking situation.

What will the funds be used for?

Every contribution, no matter how small, will help this father and mother bring their little girl safely home so she can receive the care and treatment she urgently needs.
