My name is Jaelle Tennies, and I started The Let There Be Light Project because I know what it feels like to face something no kid should ever have to.
After going through my own experience with childhood cancer, I realized how powerful it is when someone reaches out when you feel seen, supported, and reminded that light still exists, even in the darkest moments.
The Let There Be Light Project was created to bring hope, comfort, and genuine connection to children battling childhood cancer. Through curated care packages, handwritten letters, and one-on-one encouragement, I want to remind each child that they’re more than their diagnosis they’re strong, brave, and never alone.
My first goal is to raise $2,000 to create and deliver our first round of curated packages to kids currently in treatment. Each one will be personally crafted to fit the child’s age, interests, and needs filled with comforting items, uplifting messages, and small reminders that they matter deeply and that someone is thinking of them.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps us reach another child who deserves light in their life.
Thank you for helping me turn my story into something that brings hope and healing to others.
Together, we can make sure no child fights alone.
