Help Bring Leonardo Soares Home

My name is Heitor Soares.

My family is in urgent need of donations after the abduction of my loving, hardworking father. Leonardo Soares was detained by ICE less than 20 minutes after dropping my brother off at elementary school, where the agents were WAITING FOR HIM.

He left Brazil for a better life for his family and during his 25 years here he built a beautiful life. He is a licensed nutritionist and he practices a trade that he is very passionate about, Electrician work. Leonardo was previously in remission of his bone cancer, but it has recently come back which has already taken an extreme toll on my family. In the detention center where he currently resides, he is not getting the treatment or medication that he needs.

The funds you donate, no matter big or small, would go towards hiring an immigration attorney who can properly represent my Dad’s case. Donations will also go towards his bond when we hopefully reach that point. Any additional funds will go towards aiding my mom and my family during these difficult times.

My Dad is a force to be reckoned with. He is stubborn about his passions, and he is always there for the people that need him. He has two smart and compassionate sons other than me, Olavo (11), and Eros (7). We all miss my father greatly, and we hope we can bring him home soon.
