Help bring Josh and Lindsay’s baby home!
Hi! My name is Kelsey and I have started this fundraiser to help my sweet friend, Lindsay, and her husband, start their family.
Lindsay and Josh met each other in 2012 and have always dreamt of having a family. Unfortunately, their journey has not been an easy one. KLindsay and Josh have been actively trying to conceive for 8 years. Due to endometriosis and other gynecological issues, they have been through many different therapies to help achieve their dreams. Starting with surgery to clean out endometriosis, they were told that the first three months after surgery would be the best time to conceive. Unfortunately that didn’t happen. They then had an initial consultation at REACH in Charlotte, where they were offered a medication that is also used as a chemotherapy for breast cancer. Due to the unknown effects this medication could have on Lindsay and her potential baby, they opted to try a more natural route first. Acupuncture, diet changes, and yucky chinese herbs didn’t do the trick. Due to endometriosis, Lindsay's labs were premenopausal and her ovaries were shutting down. With all the lab work, sticks, and hormone injections, Lindsay's levels only reached normal and only had two eggs that were developing. They were told they needed an egg donor and this was devastating as they wanted a child of their own. They reached out to another highly ranked physician in New York who was willing to increase the medications and give them another shot and then COVID happened and they were unable to continue that journey. After so much heartbreak and disappointment, they have decided to switch their journey and adopt a baby that needs a home!
With all that being said, Lindsay and Josh have been accepted as hopeful adoptiove parents with the Lifelong Adoption Agency and need our help! Adoption is expensive and I am hoping with this GoFundMe, we can lighten the load for them which I also hope will lessen the stress. Watching them go through this journey is both heartbreaking yet also so inspiring. Even through the immense pain, you see them cling to faith and hope and share the truth behind the struggles for anyone who might also be experiencing a similar journey. They remain so positive and optimistic despite the trials they face. If you are able to give anything at all to support their dream of having a baby, I know they would be beyond grateful! They also ask to could keep them in your prayers while they navigate these new waters of becoming adoptive parents!
