Help Bring Jason Home and Fight for His Freedom

Our family is facing one of the hardest moments of our lives. My husband, Jason Legare, is currently being held in the ICE Detention Center in Adelanto, California, as we fight to bring him home. We don’t know how long they will keep him there or when he’ll be released, and the uncertainty has been heartbreaking.

Three years ago, we filed a family petition for Jason’s citizenship. The process can take 2–5 years or longer, but we were told that as long as it was pending, he wasn’t at risk of detention or deportation. Despite doing everything the right way, he was suddenly taken from us — leaving our family in shock and desperate to reunite.

Jason is hardworking, loving, and the kindest person you could ever meet. He always puts his family first and helps anyone in need. His detention has turned our world upside down. He’s our main provider, and being separated from him has left us struggling emotionally and financially.

Our almost 2-year-old son doesn’t understand why his dad and best friend isn’t home. Watching him look for his dad every day is devastating. We’re doing everything we can to stay strong and fight for Jason’s release, but we can’t do it alone.
