The clock is ticking. My dear friend Minerva now desperately needs financial assistance to continue her battle for the custody of her precious four year-old granddaughter, Isabella.
I’m initiating HELP MINERVA and ISABELLA STAY TOGETHER because I can’t stand idle watching this loving family being torn apart and unjustly ignored by a stressed foster-care system.
Minerva has shied away from anything less than her own labors to provide for her family, yet now finds herself in a battle to keep her family together that will far, far exceed her means.
While Isabella’s biological mother and grandmother don’t want to raise her, Minerva and her son – Isabella’s paternal family – most fervently do. Yet, despite her best efforts over the past two years, the poor legal counsel assigned by the county has let Minerva fall between the cracks.
Time is running out and the final custody trial is approaching. Her precious Isabella is about to be permanently adopted by another family, a household currently containing several foster children not related to her. Minerva longs to give Isabella a wonderful, nurturing life with her true family.
