For over 25 years, our family has quietly carried out a tradition of compassion in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam. This year, with the support of Crestland Alliance and our extended network of family, friends, clients, and financial supporters, we’re proud to continue this vital mission — and we invite you to be a part of it.
About This Mission
Soc Trang province, located in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta, has made significant strides in reducing its poverty rate from 17.89% in 2016 to 2.66% in 2020. Yet, hidden behind these figures are marginalized and disabled communities that remain deeply underserved — including a blind village, a leprosy community, and local orphanages.
These conditions are no accident. Environmental contamination from decades of war, the lingering effects of Agent Orange, and unsafe farming chemicals have compromised water sources and soil for generations. Disabilities like blindness, chronic illness, and hereditary conditions are heartbreakingly common.
The local temples and high monks — unpaid for their work — provide essential services where government support is scarce: shelter, food, education, spiritual guidance, and access to clean water. These monks live simply, accepting only food, lodging, and occasional travel stipends from fellow temples.
Why This Matters
- Vietnam’s Soc Trang province ranks among the poorest in the country.
- Generations have suffered from waterborne illnesses and environmental contamination.
- Orphaned children are raised by local temples with no government support.
- Blind and disabled adults rely solely on community donations for daily survival.
Your contribution isn’t just charity — it’s an investment in human dignity, public health, and generational opportunity.
Where Your Donations Go
We believe in transparency and direct impact. Every dollar makes a measurable difference:
Clean Water Access
Support efforts led by the high monk to secure safe, uncontaminated water sources for the blind village. This initiative is vital, given the clear link between water quality and health outcomes in the region.
Essential Food & Household Supplies
Provide staples like rice, bread, canned goods, hygiene products, and household necessities. For orphaned children, candy, toys, and treats offer rare moments of normal childhood joy.
Education & Child Welfare
Cover school tuition, supplies, and uniforms for orphaned children. Many eventually find employment or return to the temples as caretakers or monks, continuing a cycle of compassion and service.
Financial Assistance for Disabled Adults
Provide stipends to disabled and elderly adults in the blind village, helping cover daily expenses and medical needs.
Temple and Monastic Support
Fund the critical work of local temples, which act as community hubs and shelters. Monks receive no salaries — only essentials for their duties — with remaining funds sustaining ongoing humanitarian work.
The Impact of Your Gift
- $20 provides a month’s worth of household food and hygiene supplies for a family.
- $50 covers school supplies and uniforms for an orphaned child for a semester.
- $200 funds a water filtration system or water delivery for an entire village sector for a week.
Who We Are
Crestland Alliance is a business consulting and philanthropic collective founded on the belief that financial success must be paired with social responsibility. While our firm primarily operates in textiles, sales, and business consulting, we pledge a portion of our profits, time, and talent to this annual charity tradition in Vietnam.
This mission is personally led by our founder, alongside local family members and monks in Vietnam, and supported by generous donors and clients from the U.S., Europe, and Asia — many from the banking, investment, and professional sectors.
