Help Bring Hope to Costa Rica with Lawton First Assembly

Recently, a challenging and exciting opportunity was presented to me, and I'd like to share it with you. I feel called by the Lord to go to Costa Rica, Central America, August 12 – 18, 2025, with my home church, Lawton First Assembly, to share the love of Christ with kids, teenagers, and adults! I will be traveling with other people from my church. When I was younger, I heard of mission trips, but did not understand. My cousin, whom is going on a mission trip with her church, spoke to me about them and I had this desire in my heart to go out and serve. Sunday comes around and the pastor announces a mission trip opportunity, my heart skipped a beat for I had told God my desire and here came the opportunity. I was quite nervous to sign up as this would be my first mission trip ever, but I did not let that stop me. God gave me a heart that loves to serve others and help in any ways I can. This mission trip gives me an opportunity to serve without anything in return, simply a joy in my heart knowing that I can assist those in need.

This August, our mission team will reach out to the local people of Costa Rica by leading church services, building relationships through ministry to a local elementary school, helping with service and construction projects, and engaging in evangelism. There are more than 1.42 million people who reside in San Jose, many of whom live in material poverty, and more still who have never heard the message of hope through Jesus. However, the local church is on the move and actively leading souls to Jesus.

Each team member is responsible for raising a portion of the trip's cost. The entire cost of the trip is $1,900 per person. If you would like to partner with me for this incredible opportunity, please don't hesitate to donate. Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated.
