As many of you know I have found my ideal volunteer job at Sunshine House in Kensington, Philidelphia. Sunshine House is a dream come to fruition lead by the amazing Roz Pichardo, harm reduction advocate extrodinaire. We serve the neglected and disparaged community of Kensington,those struggling with addiction, mental illness, homelessness and poverty. A team of volunteers distributes clothes and shoes to those in need. I am collecting to buy underwear to distribute to men and women, providing a sense of dignity, love and respect. The smiles and hugs we give and receive brightens up the whole community.
