Hi everyone,

We are Mariella Ruiz de Somocurcio and Isabella Michell, two Peruvian friends on a shared mission to create change through creativity and community.

Over the past few years, we’ve joined forces to support Asociación Sembrando Esperanza (ASE) - a small but powerful grassroots organization that offers creative workshops and essential support for children and families in Carapongo, one of the areas most affected by Lima’s 2017 floods that left the area without any means.

A New Challenge in Huacho

This year, ASE has relocated its activities to Huacho Chico, where the community is now facing a new and urgent challenge: access to clean water.

Together, we are raising £5,250 to help build a Community Water Well that will provide safe water for more than 1,000 families in the Centenario area of Huacho, as well as for the workshops that continue empowering children and women in the region.

The Project

Construction of a 25-meter-deep water well with concrete sealing.

Installation of an electric submersible pump and two water distribution points.

Includes metal fencing, storage tanks, and electrical installation to ensure long-term sustainability.

Total cost: S/ 23,100 (approx. £5,250).

Why It Matters

This well will change lives.

It will:

Provide clean, safe water to over 1,000 families.

Improve health, hygiene, and productivity for the whole community.

Support reforestation efforts and green areas linked to ASE’s creative workshops.

Give children and women access to better living conditions and new opportunities to grow.
