Hi everyone! My name is Laila, and I am in my final year of chiropractic school at Life Chiropractic College West.
This Spring Break, I have an incredible opportunity to travel to India on a service trip, providing chiropractic care to underserved communities that often lack access to these services.
Why This Trip Matters
In Ahmedabad, the province we are serving in India, many individuals suffer from chronic physical ailments due to labor-intensive lifestyles. Many of the people we will serve may have never seen a chiropractor, may never have the chance again, or have very limited access to these services.
Impact: I will be adjusting approximately 100–150 patients per day, over three full days of service.
Purpose: To restore nervous system function and provide physical relief to those living in discomfort. Chiropractic can help alleviate many physical and neurological symptoms.
Passion: I believe chiropractic care is a right, not a privilege, and I am dedicated to bringing this care to those who need it most.
How You Can Help:
As a full-time doctorate student, I am self-funding this entire trip. This includes international flights, lodging, transport, and food. While I am fully committed to this journey, the financial "heavy lifting" is significant.
Your donations will go directly toward:
- Helping me get to and from India.
- Covering fees for lodging and meals.
- Supporting the logistics that allow us to set up clinics in the heart of the community.
- Ensuring we have the resources needed to serve thousands of people.
Any contribution, no matter the size, brings me one step closer to serving the people of Ahmedabad. If you can’t donate, a share goes a long way!
Thank you for supporting my journey and the community of Ahmedabad.
A little more about my chiropractic journey:
I found chiropractic through my partner, a now-practicing doctor in Berkeley, and his friends, after graduating with my degree in Industrial Engineering. I admired how they all lived their lives- passionately health forward, with a deep belief in the innate healing capabilities of the body. While working as a midwife's assistant attending births, I finally made the decision to attend school myself so that I could provide care to mamas and babies. Since starting school, I've become particularly interested in women's health, and providing well-rounded care for the individual. I practice mainly Diversified, but have strong interests in Knee Chest Upper Cervical, Toggle, Diversified, and Activator. I am deeply passionate about the philosophy, art, and science of chiropractic, and cannot wait to be in practice.
