Hello everyone,

From Charlie: I'm currently in hospital in A Coruña, Spain, after undergoing a major operation that resulted in the amputation of my right leg. A life-changing surgery for me, and for my family.

Unfortunately, I am unable to cover the cost to get home safely and then to recover at home.

The challenges I face include:

1. Short term, convalescent care in Spain.

2. Travel arrangements to get home safely, as well as travel and accommodation arrangements for my daughters to assist me in the process.

3. A mobility wheelchair for me once I am back in Ireland.

4. Other essentials to help me settle back into daily life (This could include a bed, a hoist, rail grips and a ramp)

These costs are beyond what I can manage and I would be grateful for any contribution, no matter how small, to help get me home and to make sure I have some structure to fully recovery.
