Help Bring Baby Lydia Home

On November 26, 2021 Sam and Emily Johnstun became the parents of two premature twin girls, Lyla and Lydia. Lydia was born with many complications of her heart, her lungs, her esophagus, and her stomach. She has had multiple surgeries over the past few months of her young life and has spent the past 5 months in the neonatal intensive care unit. They are finally thinking of releasing her to go home in the next five to six weeks but her continued medical problems will require her to remain on a ventilator as well as having a night nurse in their home. Sam is currently completing his clinicals to become an X-ray technician. He has been staying with his sister in Show Low while Emily, Lyla, and their 2 year old boy Sam have been staying with her grandma so she can be close to Lydia and the hospital. When they are able to to bring baby Lydia home they will need to find a 3 or 4 bedroom house to rent to make room for them and Lydia’s nurse down in the valley where the cost of living is outrageous. They also will need to purchase a van or larger vehicle that will accommodate the three baby car seats as well as Lydia’s ventilator. The car they have right now is too small to fit all of that. With Sam in school and Emily spending all her time with the babies they currently don’t have any income. Any money that you can spare to help them out would be greatly appreciated!!!
