Our family is asking for your support during one of the most difficult times we’ve ever faced. My husband, Angel, was unexpectedly detained by ICE while on his way back to work during his lunch break. Angel came to the United States when he was just 2 years old. While he is incredibly proud of his Mexican roots, this country is the only home he has ever truly known. His greatest dream has always been to become a U.S. citizen and continue building the life we’ve worked so hard to create together.
Angel is the most selfless person I know. He has never been in trouble with the law. He is a devoted husband, an incredible father to our daughters, a hardworking employee, and a youth soccer coach for different teams. He pours his heart into our family and our community, and everyone who knows him knows the kind of man he is. I recently graduated nursing school and am just beginning my career as a registered nurse. We were finally starting to get back on our feet and looking forward to the future we had planned together. Now, our lives have been turned upside down.
As we fight to bring Angel home, we are facing overwhelming legal fees, immigration costs, travel expenses, and the loss of his income. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will go directly toward the legal expenses needed to continue fighting for Angel’s release and to keep our family together. If you are unable to donate, sharing our story and keeping our family in your prayers would mean the world to us. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support during this incredibly difficult time. We are holding onto hope that Angel will soon be back where he belongs—with his family, at home.
