Ana is the mother of my child and a loving mom to three wonderful kids, all U.S. citizens. She has lived in the United States since she was just a year old, brought here by her mother in hopes of a better future. Unfortunately, Ana never had the chance to get her papers in order, and now she is facing the unimaginable—she was arrested by immigration and is currently being held in ICE custody. Her absence has left a huge void in our family, especially for our youngest daughter, Zhina, who is only six years old and desperately needs her mother at home.
We are doing everything we can to bring Ana back to her family. The legal process is overwhelming and expensive, with lawyers, car payments, and filing fees adding to our financial burden. I am working over 60 hours a week to try to keep up, but there’s only so much I can do on my own. Ana’s mother is also working two jobs, over 18 hours a day, trying to help in any way possible. Unfortunately, the bills never stop coming. Her mom is devastated, unable to sleep, and her nerves are constantly on edge as she worries about Ana and the children.
We are hoping that, with your help, we can pay for the legal support Ana needs and eventually secure her green card with removal of cancellation due to hardship. We are reaching out to family, friends, and Ana’s coworkers for support. Anything you can give—no matter how small—will go a long way in helping us reunite Ana with her children and give our family hope again. Thank you for your kindness and support during this incredibly difficult time.
