Help Bring Alcorn State to the Cardinal Band Brawl

Hi, my name is Travon Rogers, and I’m a proud member of the Majestic Marching Cardinals at Jonesboro High School in Jonesboro, GA!

This year, our band is hosting the Cardinal Band Brawl—a high-energy showcase of top high school bands and special collegiate guests. We’re already excited to welcome Virginia Union University, and now we’re dreaming even bigger…

We want to bring the Sounds of Dyn-O-Mite Marching Band from Alcorn State University to join us as special guests! Alcorn’s presence—whether it’s their full band, drum majors, or even the Golden Girls dance team—would take this event to the next level and inspire students and future musicians across the region.

But… we need your help.

Traveling from Mississippi to Georgia comes with major expenses, and we’re hoping to raise funds to help cover the cost of Alcorn’s visit. Even a partial contribution could help bring a piece of the Alcorn experience to our community!

All donations will go toward:

• Transportation and lodging for Alcorn State representatives

• Event costs and hospitality

• Inspiring the next generation of musicians and performers

If we exceed our fundraising goal, the remaining funds will go toward supporting both bands in their next major performances—helping Alcorn State with their journey to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, helping Jonesboro High School with our trip to the London New Year’s Day Parade, and supporting equipment upgrades for both programs.
