Bring a Disability Standing Frame for travellers to Bali

My name is Lindsey, I'm a Disability Support Worker who has been working in disability for a number of years. Michelle is a client and together we are working to making travel more inclusive for people with disabilities.

We are raising funds to purchase a specialized standing frame to take to Bali, Michelle, who lives with Friedreich’s Ataxia has made a heartfelt YouTube video (link below) showing how a standing frame works and why it’s so important for her and others living with disabilities.

Standing frames aren’t just equipment — they’re life-changing. They allow people with mobility challenges to:

Stand tall and improve circulation, posture, and comfort

Take part in activities on holiday with greater freedom

Experience inclusion, dignity, and joy

Why We Need Your Help

Accessibility equipment like standing frames are not available in Bali. Our dream is not only to support Michelle on her holiday next year, but to leave the standing frame (and any other equipment we’re able to fund) with a reputable hire company or hotel in Bali. This way, future Travellers with disabilities will benefit for years to come.

We are aiming to raise $6500 to cover:

Purchase of the standing frame and sling (and other urgently needed disability equipment)

Safe transport to Bali — we are able to take the equipment on our flight at no cost

Ensuring the equipment is available locally for others to access in the future
