Since reopening in October 2025, West Wenham Park has become a vibrant gathering place for our community, offering tennis/pickleball courts, a basketball court, playground and fitness equipment, a pump track, a large pavilion with picnic tables - and lots of open grassy space.

However, one amenity that the park lacks is a porta potty. Although porta potties were included in the park revitalization design plans, they were not funded for this year. Without fundraising support, the park will not have a porta potty available for visitors until at least July 2027 due to the timing of Town budget cycles.

A porta potty is not only important for our youngest visitors, but for everyone who would prefer not to have to leave the park to use the restroom. Let's not wait until 2027 to make this happen!

If we are able to raise sufficient funds, we will place a handicap-accessible porta potty at the park from May-October when we expect the park to see the most use.

Note: The Wenham Select Board has approved the placement of a porta potty at the park if we can raise the funds to cover the cost for this year. If we exceed the $1,600 goal (via grants or other donations) we will use the additional funds to cover the cost of the porta potty for the start of the 2027 park season, until Town budgets may be available to cover the costs.
