In recent years, several small progressive Jewish communities have began to thrive in Ireland. The Jewish communities in Belfast, Limerick/Shannon, Galway, and Cork have been very generously offered 4 Torah scrolls by a Conservative Synagogue in Haverhill, Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

The Torah scrolls are a very generous donation, but now our communities need funding to bring the scrolls back from Massachusetts to Ireland.

We need funds by August 25th for:

• Plane tickets
• Safe transportation containers for the scrolls
• Packaging Materials for the scrolls
• Transport to and from the airport

Any donation, large or small, will help make this the dream of our communities come true: to read from our scrolls in time for Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur, and to be able to dance with them this Simchat Torah!

Donations of 18€ and increments of 18 are particularly welcome (e.g. 36, 72 etc).
