Give Bridgette a Break!
UPDATE: Bridgette is moving closer to a place where she can afford to break her lease. Please continue to share the campaign. It's looking like she can move in July and she should get her car back by May 22nd.

I’m writing this because my friend Bridgette has been hit with one thing after another.
In the last six months, Bridgette has survived 3 separate car-related incidents that were completely out of her control: a deer collision, a hit-and-run, and now an attempted theft/vandalism incident that left her car in the shop until at least May 22nd. She has no rental coverage, still needs to pay the deductible, and is now borrowing her mom’s or sister’s cars just to scrape together gig work and survive.
This all happened while she was trying to start a new job as a substitute teacher, which requires reliable transportation and same-day availability.
Bridgette was already trying to rebuild her life. She is in long-term recovery and a survivor of human trafficking. She works incredibly hard on her healing: she has a social worker, attends therapy weekly through ARCA, and continues to show up for herself even while life keeps throwing punches.
Bridgette is one of the most creative, funny, generous artists I know. Truly one of a kind!
Right now, Bridgette is trying to stabilize. She’s selling personal belongings online, trying to keep working however she can, and attempting to move out of a neighborhood where she doesn’t feel safe. She has already found a place to move to, and now she just needs help breaking her lease, repairing her car, and getting through this stretch without completely drowning financially.
This fundraiser is about giving someone who has survived a lot the chance to finally exhale for a second,.
Funds will help cover Bridgette’s insurance deductible, transportation instability, and the cost of relocating from a high-crime area to a safer living situation after multiple back-to-back crises.
Thank you!
