Hello folks!
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Amanda, and I am the older sister to the "original" Briana (you'll understand soon enough lol). I'm putting together this GoFundMe on behalf of my sister and sister-in-law, "Briana," so they can go forth with their IVF embryo transfer.
Back story: "The Briana’s" met in 2018 ❤️. The two fell in love almost instantly. So much so that the two nervously came out to their families about the love they have for one another, and of course, we gladly accepted them for who they are. In February 2023, the two Briana’s got engaged at Walt Disney World. I was honored to be a part of that special moment. Shortly after, the "baby" talk came about, and they decided to go forth with the process of having a baby, and so that entire journey itself began.
Long story short... With the help of insurance, my sister and sister-in-law were able to start the IUI process, which was a very stressful and traumatic experience. From the hospital spilling half of the vial on insemination day, to them not caring, and then all the way down to finding out the donor was never tested properly, which led to a medical scare, and the donor was removed from the donor list. What once was an exciting journey was ending as a legal disaster. Due to the stress this was bringing emotionally, my sisters decided to take a baby break and focus on their marriage date ♀. So, on June 26, 2025, they tied the knot at the local courthouse . On July 19, 2025, the family celebrated these two beauties and the love they have for one another. One thing we as a family did differently was instead of material gifts for their reception, we all donated money to help with the expenses of the next journey of having a baby, which is the IVF process.
When my sisters started their second round of trying to have a baby, they were later informed that although the previous hospital made numerous terrible mistakes, insurance covered all of that. Which leads to now, the insurance is maxed out, and the only thing left to do is to transfer the embryo and the medications beyond that to ensure a safe and healthy pregnancy. What they have saved for other needed expenses during this process is dwindling down, and this lump sum of the cost for the embryo transfer is something that was unexpected.
This is supposed to be an exciting journey for them. They had all their ducks in order financially and mentally until the numerous mistakes the first hospital had made. If you know my sisters, then you know both of them don't like to ask for anything. They are the most caring and loving two people you could ever meet. They're great aunts to my children, both are beyond nurturing, and both were just born to be mommies. This is the one piece that's missing from their puzzle. So, of course, me being their big sister, being by their side through this journey has led me to see all the ups and downs, all the loopholes they had to go through, and all the mountains they have needed to climb. I've been their shoulder to cry on, their ear to vent to, and now I want to be their voice by asking for a little help to fill in that missing puzzle piece in their life.
They say it takes a village to raise a baby; well, in some cases, it takes a village to bring a baby into this world. So if you're willing to be a part of that village, we'd be forever grateful, and if a donation is something you can't do, just sharing this would be more than appreciated.
Thank you for reading my beautiful two sisters' baby journey ❤️. I promise, one day I will share with my niece/nephew all the names of the people in that village that helped them get here.
