While moving to be closer to family, Ally and Brian packed everything they owned and started the drive from Los Angeles to Washington State. While stopping in Sacramento, the worst happened. Their Uhaul, containing everything that they owned, was stolen in broad daylight. Brian and Ally were left with only the clothes on their backs. This was a devastating blow for a young couple hoping for a fresh start in a new state. While our family has rallied around them to make them as comfortable as possible, they cannot replace everything that was lost.
We know that they will never recover the things that meant the most to them, things that held no monetary value to theives, but were priceless to them. However, if we could help them at least replace the things that can be replaced it would go a long way to helping them heal and recover from this tragic set back. They desperately need all of the basic household items that we all take for granted everyday. While they are both working to find new jobs in their new home state, their savings was spent on moving expenses, so they do not have the available capital to replace their lost items and keep the roof over their heads.
Brian is a US Army veteran, someone who has served this country faithfully through five tours of duty. To have that service repaid by having everything he owns stolen out from under him is a tragic blow and wholly undeserved.
This is an urgent plea for anything you can do to help this veteran and his partner get back on thier feet. It would be deeply appreciated and would help heal the betrayed hearts of a family in need.
