Help Bria in her fight for her daughter
Donation protected
My name is April Schweitzer, and I have watched Bria parent since the day she found out she was pregnant. She began poring over books, carefully planning her meals to make sure she got all of the recommended nutrients, quizzing experienced moms about everything she would need to know to be the best mom she could. Cheyenne was welcomed into the world with so much love from her mama. Bria was meant to be a mother and puts her whole heart and soul into it.
Cheyenne's father has put Cheyenne in the middle of an unwarranted custody battle, demanding that the original custody order be overturned in his favor. This has dragged on for two years and has drained nearly $25,000 from Bria, a single mom supporting her girls paycheck-to-paycheck.
Bria and Cheyenne need our help now. A court date has been set for next Tuesday, August 9th. Bria just found out, only a week before court, that her attorney expects to be pre-paid $7,000 or else she will not represent Bria in court. Years of preparation and tens of thousands of dollars will be lost. Worse, Cheyenne could lose Bria as her primary parent and have her life disrupted just one month into starting middle school. Cheyenne needs her mom as her primary parent -- as she has been since birth -- during this big life transition. To fight to disrupt that special bond is nothing short of cruel.
Seven thousand dollars is a lot for Bria. Both she and her parents have been faced with unexpected medical bills in the past couple of months. What Bria needs now is to be surrounded with a miraculous outpouring of love and support. Please give what you can. Give Cheyenne the stability she needs. Give Bria the hope and courage to stand up for her daughter and protect her in court.
