My friend's little girl, Demijae, who is 8, is currently at Riley Children’s Hospital fighting pneumonia. She recently had surgery to have her tonsils and adenoids removed after a blood transfusion and got sick afterward. Her complications add stress for this little girl who was diagnosed with sickle cell, Sturge-Weber syndrome, pica, and asthma at the age of 6 months.

My friend Bre’nay is a single mom with three young kids and is already struggling. Now she will need to be out of work for two weeks or more to help her little girl heal.
